Step 1
Check your eligibility
Ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria for the FSW program, including having at least one year of continuous full-time or equivalent part-time skilled work experience in a high-demand occupation and meeting the minimum language proficiency requirements.
Step 2
Obtain an ECA
Obtain an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from a designated organization to verify that your foreign education credentials are equivalent to a Canadian education
Step 3
Check your FSW points score
Use the FSW Points Calculator to determine your FSW points score and assess your eligibility for the program. Ensure that you meet the minimum FSW points requirement, which is currently 67 out of 100.
Step 4
Submit an Express Entry profile
Create an Express Entry profile and submit your FSW points score along with all the required information and documentation. If you meet the CRS cut-off score in the Express Entry draw, you may receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency from the Canadian government.
